Ft Myers Pet Care | New Gadget Helps Dogs Get Proper Exercise

Pet sitters, dog walking enthusiasts, and anyone that cares for pets are usually interested in any new gadget that comes along that can improve the quality of life for the animals in our lives. I recently encountered one of these "gadgets" and had to give it a try. I found a harness and arm that attach to the frame of your bike, and allow you to walk your dog while riding your bike, keeping your pet a safe distance away from the bicycle wheels and pedals. Not only will our dogs be able to run a little faster, but also, get to run a little farther as their human counterparts will not need to work as hard to keep up! More exercise generally means a healthier pet ... so I thought I'd give it a try.

After attaching the leash I walked him around for about 2 minutes so he could get familiar with the apparatus and we took off riding.

IT WORKED PERFECTLY!

The dog I was walking had a great time trotting along beside me at a pace HE enjoyed while deriving optimum benefit! This apparatus allows me to start off slowly while warming up your dog, bring the session to a peak, and then cool your pet down properly so as to avoid overheating and injury. This makes it much easier to tailor each exercise session to your dogs unique needs and abilities in a relatively short period of time. Not only great for the dog, but, great time management as well!
